Department of Veterans Affairs Chooses Acadis® Online for Academy Automation

BLOOMINGTON, IN, November 5, 2013 — Envisage Technologies, a Bloomington, Indiana-based software company, announced today that it was awarded a five (5) year contract with the Veterans Affairs Law Enforcement Training Center (VA-LETC) in North Little Rock, AR. VA-LETC will use Acadis Online, a software as a service offering to manage their entire cadre of law enforcement officers training and certifications.

Acadis Online is Envisage’s service that delivers the same robust functionality as the Acadis Readiness Suite software, but in a secure, private cloud. The VA-LETC chose Acadis Online to reduce its operating costs and eliminate expensive capital investment in hardware, software or IT staff typically required for enterprise software.

“We were seeking a turn-key solution in the very near term to manage our 2014 class schedule and certifications,” stated Greg Holland, Special Agent and Program Manager. “We chose Acadis Online to reduce our costs and were able to avoid the additional expense of enterprise infrastructure and staff. This is an excellent solution to accomplish our goal.”

The system will be used to track approximately 3,500 law enforcement officers employed by the VA throughout the country. Acadis will enable the Law Enforcement Training Center to automate their training including mandatory basic, advanced, online and in-service training records. The system will store digital documents to ensure all officers are in compliance with training policies.

“We are pleased to add the VA-LETC to our list of federal law enforcement customers,” said Cory Myers, Vice President of Homeland Security Solutions. “It is gratifying to partner with a forward-thinking group while saving the government a substantial amount of money with our SaaS solution.”

“The VA’s Law Enforcement Training Center had the same challenges as many of our clients: a highly distributed workforce with complex compliance requirements ,” said Ari Vidali, Envisage CEO. “Our passion is designing software that incorporates best practices from around the Country and really improves training operations. Because fundamentally, training saves lives.”
