Wyoming POST Selects Acadis® Readiness Suite for Statewide Training and Certification Management

Acadis will streamline management of training, certifications, and employment for the state’s law enforcement officers.
BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA – Bloomington-based Envisage Technologies, the leading provider of law enforcement and public safety training and compliance solutions, announced today that the Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (POST) and Law Enforcement Academy has awarded them a contract for the Acadis® Readiness Suite. This will support legally defensible training and certification records for their 4,000 sworn law enforcement officers.
POST will utilize Acadis to streamline the management and tracking of training, certifications, and employment for the state’s sworn law enforcement officers, while the Academy will use Acadis to automate academy operations including scheduling, course registration, housing, and testing. Law Enforcement agencies throughout Wyoming will manage online registration and in-service training reporting via the Acadis Portal.
Acadis will support the entire hire-to-retire lifecycle to ensure that each officer remains in compliance with all certification requirements. The use of Acadis is expected to result in significant cost savings for the State of Wyoming as it will allow for the transition to a digital record-keeping system and further streamline the technical relationship between POST, Academy, and agencies.

About Wyoming POST
The Wyoming Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission (POST) sets standards for employing, certifying, and training of all peace officers, detention officers (county jails), corrections officers (state institutions), county coroners, and all dispatchers in the state. These personnel are from municipal, county and state agencies. We maintain training files on all of these personnel, and monitor and enforce all mandated standards for their certification and re-certification. There are continuing education standards in place for all of the certifications which must be met every two years. We also administer a pre-employment exam (Entry Level Test) for prospective law enforcement employees and make that list of successful candidates available to all agencies who request it. We also administer promotion exams for the agencies and schedule upon their request.
